From the parts list to the construction site

A parts list is a list of problems: which standard, which edition, which material, which certificate, which date – and who carries all of it to the site, in the right order, with the right papers? The knowledge base answers the technical questions. This section answers the other half: how we turn your list into a delivery, what we need for it and where our services begin and end. No sales talk – written to the same standard as the knowledge pages.

The process – and what happens at each stage

Every project runs through the same stages; the difference lies in how many of them you leave to us.

Parts list. You send what you have: parts list, old designations. We identify each item – standard, type, material, size – and ask what is missing. The component identifier and the standards guide help in advance.
Technical clarification. Which edition applies, is EN compatible with ASME, which certificate does the specification demand: that is in the knowledge base – mixing standards worlds, inspection documents, flanges, pipes.
Procurement. From stock what is stocked; procured what is missing – special parts to drawing included. One contact for all items. Project supply, express and emergency.
Quality and papers. Inspection certificates 3.1, supplier’s declarations, certificates of origin – assigned per item. Certificates and documentation.
Processing. Sawing and fixed lengths, threads, roll grooves, bending, galvanising, pickling, blasting, coating, parts to drawing. Processing.
Project warehouse and call-off. We store, you call off – by construction phase or maintenance schedule. C-parts and consignment stock.
Picking, packaging, marking. By construction phase and your item number; export packaging as required for road, sea or air freight. Packaging and marking.
Delivery. Own fleet with crane unloading for the site, pipe haulage, parcel and pallet, export. What can be done, and how fast, we clarify for each order.

Four ways of working with us

Project supply: the complete material for a plant construction or an overhaul from one source, with fixed prices by agreement, scheduling, interim storage and documentation. Daily demand: the full-range stockist for maintenance and installation – order what is missing today. C-parts management: call-off orders and consignment stock for recurring parts, across sites. Express: when the plant is down and the part is missing. All four start the same way: you write to us what you need.

What we do not promise: times of day, percentages and delivery commitments that sales and shipping have not confirmed in the individual case. What is possible, we tell you when you enquire – and then keep it.

Two structures you can visit: the Chiapas water ride at Phantasialand in Brühl was built with pipes from Zickwolff – we delivered pipes and connecting material fully prefabricated for the construction. In the MEWA ARENA in Mainz (Coface Arena during construction, later Opel Arena), built as a new stadium from 2009 and in use since 2011, pipes from Zickwolff are installed.

And once without an order: for a new forest-fire fighting module of @fire – Internationaler Katastrophenschutz Deutschland e. V. we donated the ball valves and fittings. The association helps with volunteers worldwide after earthquakes and in forest fires.

Do I have to be a customer to enquire?

No. For business customers it is worth setting up the customer account in advance, because it saves time in an emergency – the enquiry itself is open to everyone.

Does Zickwolff deliver abroad?

Yes, nationally and internationally, by container or express; packaging and papers depend on the destination country. Details per project.
