Packaging and marking

A pallet with forty flanges is, for the fitter, a pallet with forty problems if no label says which one belongs in which line. Packaging for us is therefore not a question of wrapping film but of organisation: we pack the way your site unpacks – by construction phase, by line, by your item number – and mark every part so that assignment on site succeeds without queries.

Structure
by project, construction phase, line or customer item – you specify the logic
Marking
label per part with your item · packing list per package · certificate assignment to match
Packaging
pallet, mesh box, bundle · caps and cleaning · export: crate, ISPM 15 timber, corrosion protection, seaworthy
Delivery
own fleet with crane unloading · pipe haulage and container – scope per project

Picking to your structure

The parts list of a project has a structure – construction phases, lines, item numbers. We adopt this structure in picking: what is installed together lies together; what comes later stays in the project warehouse. Every package receives a packing list with your numbers, every part a label with item and designation. For pipes that means: bundled by line, on request cleaned and capped; for flanges and fittings: palletised or in the mesh box, separated by material so that stainless steel does not lie on carbon steel.

Long-term storage and project delivery

In projects the material often lies on site for months before it is installed – the packaging has to withstand that. For this one procedure has proven itself in our projects: in project business our smallest packaging unit is always a carton – however small the part, be it screws or hydraulic components. In bags the risk would be too great that something can no longer be found on site. The cartons are bundled per machine set or construction phase in wooden crates, so that on site only the crate that is currently needed is opened. Pipes as bundles per construction phase and item, ends closed with caps, a label per bundle; thin-walled small pipes are additionally laid on wooden slats and bundled so that they do not deform during transport and handling. Bent pipes and pipe spools in racks instead of crates. Pallet-sized crates when the lorry collects at our premises – the allocation per crate is in the packing list beforehand, not only on the lid.

Export and construction site

If the material goes overseas, seaworthy packaging is added: crate or lattice crate of ISPM 15 treated timber, VCI film, corrosion protection, marking to the specifications of the forwarder and the destination country, packing lists in the language of the site if desired. If it goes to the site in the region, our lorry with crane comes – unloaded where you need it, in the order in which it is installed. We plan both with your shipping department and the schedule, not from a catalogue.

What we do not promise: every type of packaging for every country without consultation. Export, dangerous goods, special dimensions and time windows we clarify per project with shipping – and then say what is possible.
