Flat gaskets to DIN 2690 (withdrawn): dimension table for existing plant

DIN 2690 set out the dimensions of flat gaskets for flanges with a flat sealing face. The inside diameter d1 follows the nominal size DN, and the outside diameter d2 additionally follows the pressure rating. The table covers DN 4 to DN 1400 and is fully verified in the DN 4–500 range against the manufacturer's dimension table KLINGER Information 70.1.1.

Note on standard status: DIN 2690 is withdrawn and has been replaced by EN 1514-1. The dimensions below serve solely for identification and the maintenance of older plant and existing stock. For new designs, the contractually agreed, currently valid flange and gasket standards prevail – for flanges to EN 1092-1 generally the relevant parts of the EN 1514 series – along with the operating conditions and manufacturer specifications. In trade, orders to DIN 2690 are still placed in some cases – we supply the matching part.

Good to know when cross-checking existing plant: the dimensions of DIN 2690 have largely been absorbed into the current EN 1514-1 (form IBC – ring inside the bolt circle); for a few nominal sizes the EN values differ by a few millimetres. The current dimensions are set out on our page Flat gaskets to EN 1514-1; for guidance on gasket forms and materials see the gaskets overview.

"–" means: not documented in the source. Values in brackets (e.g. "(175)") mark less commonly used nominal sizes. For PN 1 and PN 2.5, use the PN 6 dimensions, except for DN 1200 (outside Ø 1290 mm) and DN 1400 (outside Ø 1490 mm). DN 60 is a special nominal size provided only for cast-iron flanges. Typical ordering information: "Gasket DIN 2690, DN 65, PN 40, material, s = 1.5 mm" – for new designs correspondingly "Gasket EN 1514-1, form IBC, …".

How this data is compiled. This page does not reproduce a standard. It shows the dimensions you need for an enquiry, an order and installation – for sizes we supply, checked against documents from manufacturing works and suppliers and against our own range. Each value states what kind of value it is: specified by the standard, calculated by us or customary in the trade. The currently valid standard is binding. It is available from DIN Media or from your national standards body. How we select our sources and keep them up to date: About this knowledge.

Technical basis: DIN 2690 (withdrawn; dimensions for identification and maintenance of existing plant). Dimension data DN 4–500 fully verified against the manufacturer's dimension table KLINGER Information 70.1.1 (flat gaskets to EN 1514-1 and DIN 2690); DN 600–1400 from a distributor dimension table (BSA) with a documented QA correction for DN 800/PN 6. All information without guarantee – for new designs the current standard texts and the manufacturer's technical data sheets always prevail. Selection of values follows our delivery and stock programme; compiled from our own inventory management and long-standing trading practice, cross-checked against publicly available manufacturer data. This table does not replace the standard text – the currently valid standard always prevails.
